Motivations
What is your motivation for homeschooling?
Your philosophy of education?
Why did you consider homeschooling? Discuss this at length with
your spouse. Set your philosophy on paper so that you can refer to it
on those days where everything seems to go wrong!
What are your goals: short-term, medium-term and long-term?
What positive reasons motivate you to homeschool? Avoid coming down
on the school system because, first and foremost, your goal is to meet
the needs of your children.
Each family will have a unique homeschool experience based on their
philosophy of education. It is of utmost importance to respect each
other with regards to this, and avoid comparisons.
