Issues with portfolios

Some of you have expressed unease with the DEM’s approach to the content of the portfolio. A document from the DEM and the resource persons of the DEM seem to require a content which is not explained either in the law or in the regulations. What is not a legal requirement cannot be demanded.

ACPEQ’s approach is that the content is up to the parent. In our opinion, we cannot demand anything, and even less impose that a video or other of a child be included, for example.

Please advise us of any situation or request that you find ambiguous or unreasonable. We will keep your information confidential. We have formed a group of four (4) people who will meet with the director of the DEM next Wednesday February 6th. We ask you to pray for us. We will report our assessment and the conclusions of the meeting if necessary.

“The Lord powerfully protects those crushed by injustice, he protects them at the time of misfortune.” Psalm 9:10 (PDV2017)

Volunteers Wanted

ACPEQ
I believe in it! I'm getting involved!

ACPEQ is composed of dedicated volunteers who generously invest their time and talents to advance and support the cause of homeschooling.

A large number of volunteer families within ACPEQ is essential to enable us to offer the services that support homeschooling, improve support for members, and create a welcoming atmosphere in our association. A wide volunteer base is what will permit us to influence the next generation of homeschooling families. Be involved - become an ACPEQ volunteer.

Thanks to Jodler for the words of encouragement in the February newsletter! May we live every moment depending on God, admiring what He does in every moment of our lives. Faithful in the little things

Don’t you find that life as a parent of young children seems like an endless cycle of small tasks? Feeding the baby, changing diapers, washing laundry, cleaning, going to work, grocery shopping, putting the food away, cooking meals, doing homework with the kids, putting toys away, washing dishes, blowing noses, dealing with squabbles, preparing snacks,

“Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days” For without you, ” Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain.” (Psalm 39: 4,6) ” Better one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.” ( Ecclesiastes 4:
